I come down from Ohio every spring to fish Sam Rayburn.  Usually we have 4 to 6 people.  This year, there will only be 2 of us.  I would like to stay somewhere close to Jackson Hill, but not at Jackson hill.  With just two of us it would be too expensive.  I've looked at country inn motel in broaddus & krupps in zavalla. 

Looking for something cheap, we're on the boat for 16 hrs, the only thing I need is a bed.

Does anyone have any suggestions or input that may be useful to me?

you might try the cabins at powell park.  They are nice and there is a cafe at the marina within walking distance.  It would be about a 20-25 minute ride on land and about the same on the water unless the wind is blowing back up to jackson hill.  Hope this helps

Stayed at Powell last year.  They were nice, but with only 2 of us we don't need that much.

Caught some nice fish off of needmore point over the years & it's a short boat ride from powell.

 Look like you check out most the places around Jackson Hill. Can't say I know any more that are cheap.
