Well they advertised that 1st place would be 125,000.00. Then they put a stipulation that they needed 700 participants to be able to pay 125k. They had a counter on their site that showed 589 anglers had pre-registered. So when I registered which was the day before the tourney I asked how many people they had thus far. The guy told me a lot but they haven't reached 700 yet but he suspected they would. Long story short, they actually had 95 or so people fish the tourney. They were suppose to pay hourly but decided the first day of the tourney that they would not be doing that. First place ended up getting 5000.00 for his efforts. Big bass mania did not donate ANY money to wounded warriors which is why this tourney was being held in the first place. I think 2nd place got 300.00. Since the tourney they have removed their site from the Internet, cancelled their Facebook, twitter accounts. They just lied lied lied about the whole event. I should have listened to people when they said this tourney was to good to be true but of course I didn't. Anyways, that pretty much the jist of it.

WOW- Thats crazy.  Sometimes those things are great and sometimes they are a flop.  Sorry to hear that.

My 6 year old son has a YFL tournament out of Jackson hill on the 30th of this month and I have not been on the lake for about 3 months.  Any pointers on locating them?

Man, I've been struggling big time as of late. I caught good fish during that big bass tourney just nothing over 3lbs. My advice is to find you a main lake point or secondary point with grass and throw yellow magic/pop r's early. Then back out and throw flukes/senko. When the sun gets high say around 11 go in the backs of creeks and find that dead hay grass and throw a ribbit over it. If you get a blow up and the fish misses it, throw back in with the fluke and they'll usually eat it. Other than that if you know where brush piles/ humps/ledges are then you can throw c-rig and tex rig ol' monsters in watermelon red. Good luck to y'all, let us know how y'all do.

Ps: You could always hire Lynn, he will put you on them.

Well thanks for the heads up. My Son Won his tournament not to far from the 147 bridge.  Caught all of his fish on the smalles spinner bait we had.
