Sam Rayburn Fishing report 4/26/17
« on: April 26, 2017, 09:58:03 AM »

Water Temperature: 75
Water Clarity: 2-3 feet

Sam Rayburn Fishing Report The water temperature is in the high 70’s at mid lake. The water color is clear to around 2ft, and the lake level is around 1 ft low. The top water bite has been good early in the morning around the grass and lily pads on Stanley Top Toads and baby chug bugs. We have been catching some fish in the drains and ditch’s, off the flats and off points on the main lake. On Senko’s, Wacky worms, Carolina Rig Lizards and Worms. Colors have been Watermelon Red ,Pumpkin seed, Green pumpkin, and Watermelon red Green Flake. The better fish, are holding a little deeper around 6 to 15ft in the ditches and drains, around the creeks .

This week the Crappie start there move out to deeper water. The bridge has been good with some fish showing up on live bait and jigs.. Some of the brush piles have been paying off with some nice size crappie this last week, so come on out and set the hook on your fish.

Good Luck, and God Bless.
