Water Temp.76

Normal pool 164.40

Water Clarity 2 feet

Sam Rayburn has came up this week and is now at 162.87   We had some rain this last week and it brought the lake up a little.

Bass ;   This week may flies has busted loose and have been everywhere.  There has been some action around them as the small fish have been feeding on them.  The top water bite has still been good around the pads and grass.  There are a lot of fish that stay in the shallow water all summer and feed on blue gill and other little critters that live shallow.  The grass is starting to show in some of the flats and creek channels and has been holding some good fish.  Shallow running crank-baits and spinner baits been doing pretty good. We have some fish moving out onto the ledges and off shore structure.  Stanley ½ oz  football jig as been getting some bites worked slowly over those areas. The Carolina rig is a great way to cover a lot of water off shore on the ledges and structure.

Crappie;  The wind has been the hardest thing to fight this year. There've been a lot of Crappie caught around the 147 bridge.  It a good place to get out of the sun, set back, relax, and catch a few fish. The Crappie have been getting into the summer patterns.  We have had some good days with some pretty good Crappie.  The average trip has been getting 50 and the best trip we had 135 Crappie.   Lots of folks are getting Dad and Mom out of the house to enjoy  a day on the water catching fish.  The pontoon has plenty of room for everyone so get your group booked for a spring crappie trip.

God Bless
