Benefit Tournament on Lake Livingston January 23rd, 2010 out of Kickapoo Bait and Tackle for a C.A.S.T. member that is having a triple bypass surgery.  They are without insurance. Trying to do what I can to help them raise some cash.



Come Join us for a Benefit Bass Tournament!!
***All proceeds to benefit Ann Myers medical expenses***LOCATION:  LAKE LIVINGSTON
DATE:  SATURDAY JANUARY 23RD
HOST MARINA:  KICKAPOO BAIT AND TACKLE

ENTRY FEE:  $100 PER BOAT (2 ANGLERS MAX)

*75% OF THE ENTRY FEE WILL BE DONATED TO ANN AND JOHNNY MYERS.  25% WILL GO BACK TO THE ANGLERS.  PLAQUES WILL BE AWARDED TO 1ST, 2ND, AND 3RD, AS WELL.


THERE WILL ALSO BE A BARBEQUE PLATE SANDWICH LUNCH SOLD THROUGH OUT THE DAY FOR A 5$ DONATION WHICH CONSISTS OF SANDWICH, CHIPS, AND DRINK.

WE WILL ALSO SELL RAFFLE TICKETS FOR PRIZES THAT ARE DONATED AND HAVE AN AUCTION FOR SOME OF THE BIGGER PRIZES AFTER THE TOURNAMENT.  ALL PROCEEDS FROM FOOD AND PRIZES WILL BE DONATED TO THE MYERS.

OFFICIAL RULES

1.  All entry fees must be paid before fishing the tournament. All boats must register at   
     Kickapoo Bait and Tackle on January 23rd, 2010.  Registration will start two hours before
     safe light.
2.  The entry fee is $100.00 per boat.  75% of the entry fee will go to Ann and Johnny Myers for   
     their medical expenses.  25% will be paid back to the anglers.  1 place for every 5 entries will 
     be paid.
3.  Use Caution.  No one associated with this benefit tournament is responsible for
     accidents.  Tournament director is not responsible for any accidents.
4.  A boat entry may consist of one or two anglers.
5.  Each angler may only use one rod at a time.
6.  All fish must be caught on artificial bait only by casting. No trolling or live bait is permitted.
7.  Fishing must be done from a boat. The boat must have a functioning livewell.
8.  Fishing must be done on Lake Livingston in Texas.
9.  All State, Federal, and Local Laws must be obeyed.
10.  Fishing hours will be announced at registration.
11.  Fish must be measured with the mouth closed and tail in any position on a flat board.  Fish   
       must be at least 14” minimum in length and only largemouth black bass will be weighed.
12.  A penalty of 1 lb will be deducted for each dead fish weighed.
13.  Alcohol and drug use (other than prescription or OTC medicine) is forbidden during 
       tournament hours.
14.  When the big motor is in gear, a Coastguard-approved life-vest must be worn by all 
       participants in the boat.
15.  Unsportsmanlike conduct is not acceptable and is grounds for disqualification at the 
       discretion of the tournament officials.   
16.  All decisions of the tournament director are final.
17.  All monies will be awarded by check. Ties will be divided equally.
18.  Trailering is permitted.









LIABILITY RELEASE


WAIVER AND RELEASE FROM LIABILITY

1. HEREBY RELEASES, WAIVES, DISCHARGES AND COVENANTS NOT TO SUE the promoters, other participants, operators, officials, any persons in a restricted area, sponsors, advertisers, owners and lessees of premises used to conduct the event and each of them, their officers and employees, all for the purposes herein referred to as “releasees”, from all liability to the undersigned, his personal representatives, assigns, heirs, and next of kin for any and all damage, and any claim or demands therefore on account of injury to the person or property or resulting in death of the undersigned, whether caused by the negligence of the releases or otherwise while the undersigned is competing, officiating in, observing, or working for, or for any other purpose participating in the event.

2. HEREBY AGREES TO IDEMNIFY AND SAVE AND HOLD HARMLESS the releasees and each of them from any loss, liability, damage, or cost they may incur due to the presence of the undersigned in any way competing, officiating, or working for, or for any purpose participating in the event and whether caused by the negligence of the releasees or otherwise.

3. HEREBY ASSUMES FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR AND RISK OF BODILY INJURY, DEATH OR PROPERTY DAMAGE due to the negligence of releasees or otherwise while competing, officiating, observing, or working for, or for any purpose participating in the event.

4. THE UNDERSIGNED of each boat entry expressly acknowledges and agrees the activities at the event are dangerous and involve the risk of serious injury and/or death and/or property damage,

5. THE UNDERSIGNED of each boat entry further expressly agrees that the foregoing release, waiver, and indemnity agreement is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by the law of the State of Texas and that if any portion thereof is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall, notwithstanding, continue in full legal force and effect.

THE UNDERSIGNED HAS READ AND VOLUNTARILY SIGNS THE RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT, and further agrees that no oral representations, statements or inducement apart from the foregoing written agreement have been made.

This waiver, release and indemnification agreement specifically for this event sanctioned, authorized or promoted by said release of each boat entry during the entire se and applies to activity herein above mentioned, and has the same effect as if executed after each and every activity or event in which the undersigned participates so that the parties herein intended to be released and indemnified shall be fully and effectively released and indemnified as to each and every event herein above describes.
