Taking son to Big Sam for first time
« on: October 05, 2010, 12:59:06 PM »

Hi guys,
My son and I are headed down to Big Sam to do a little Fishing. I have been reading that the lake level is way low. I havent been to Big Sam in years and my son is really wanting to catch some big fish. so I figured Big sam was as good a place as any. I am going to try and launch close to hw 147 bridge and stay close around that area. Is there any thing I should steer clear of? ??? Also I know this is a stretch, but any suggestions on baits or spots would be greatly appreciated. Or just general info like: are the fish on the outside or inside weedline, what kind of grass is best to target this time of year, are the fish on brush, etc.. Just trying to make it the best possible trip for him, sorry to ask so many questions.

thanks for your time,
your advise is greatly appreciated! ;D

I see no one has offer to give any hints. I give up a fishing report each week to help everyone out there.  I get a wacky worm and work the shallow grass and edges of the banks.
